BERRY PICKING AND PACKING

Overview

This position involves harvesting, packing, and processing berries such as strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. Workers will perform both field work and warehouse/packing tasks.

The role combines manual harvesting with machinery operation and post-harvest processing.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 months of farm work experience required
• Valid driver’s license required for vehicle operation
• Physically fit for repetitive and demanding tasks
• Ability to bend, lift, and work outdoors for long periods

Main Responsibilities

• Harvest strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries by hand
• Sort and pack fruit according to quality standards
• Load, unload, and transport harvested produce
• Operate farm equipment, forklifts, and pallet jacks
• Assist in field planting, pruning, and irrigation tasks
• Perform cleaning and sanitation of work areas and equipment
• Support warehouse operations including labeling and palletizing

Work Environment

• Outdoor fields and indoor packing facilities
• Exposure to varying weather conditions
• Use of machinery and harvesting tools

Work Conditions

• Work schedule: 6:00 AM – 12:30 PM
• Approximately 35 hours per week
• Repetitive tasks and physical labor
• Standing, bending, and lifting required
