FARM LABOURER

Overview

This role involves working on a diversified farm producing strawberries, vegetables, pumpkins, and hay. Workers will participate in planting, cultivating, harvesting, greenhouse operations, and general farm maintenance.

The position includes both manual labor and operation of agricultural equipment in outdoor and greenhouse environments.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 months of agricultural experience
• Ability to perform manual and mechanized farm work
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
• Willing to work Saturdays
• Employer-paid post-hire drug testing required

Main Responsibilities

• Plant, cultivate, and harvest berries and vegetables
• Prune, trim, and maintain crops
• Operate hand tools and farm equipment
• Install and maintain irrigation systems
• Sort, grade, pack, and load produce
• Assist with greenhouse operations and plant care
• Apply fertilizers and crop treatments under supervision
• Perform general farm work including digging, hauling, and land preparation
• Assist with hay and straw production (baling, stacking, loading)

• Outdoor fields and greenhouse environments
• Exposure to weather conditions
• Use of farm tools and machinery

Work Conditions

• Work schedule: 7:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• Approximately 35 hours per week
• Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling
• Physically demanding work
